A significant development has been reached in the SWIRLS project with the delivery of the rotational delay line from ETH Zurich.
As part of Work Package 1, researchers from ETH and WUST are entering a collaborative phase focused on the intensive development and operational optimization of this component. By refining the design and stability of the rotating element, we aim to unlock unprecedented acquisition speeds, moving away from slow linear translation and toward the high-speed, high-resolution Fourier transform spectroscopy required for detecting complex organic pollutants.
We look forward to the combined expertise of our Swiss and Polish partners as we move toward validating this technology for real-world environmental monitoring.
